General FAQ’s

Yes, you can use Sirkuni for work! There are no settings to change in Sirkuni to switch between personal or business usage.

Your entire company can use Sirkuni on Android, iOS, or desktop. Each phone must register with a separate number. You can not share phone numbers across multiple phones.

Until you have access to your phone number, there is nothing that can be done with Sirkuni.

You may want to consider options provided for your entire device:

  • For an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, follow steps from Apple's support page.
  • For an Android phone, follow steps from Googles's support page.

Once you get a new phone you can install Sirkuni and register.

  • This will stop all messaging and calling on your old phone.
  • Your past message history will remain on your old phone.
  • All new messaging and calling will be handled by this new phone.
  • Each contact will see a new safety number for their conversation with you.

Download and export a report of your Sirkuni account data. This report does not include any messages or media.

Download and Export Report

  1. On your phone, go to Sirkuni Settings profile_avatar.png > Account > Your account data.
  2. Select Export as TXT or Export as JSON > Export report > Export.
  3. Choose where to share the file.

Your report is generated only at the time of export and is not stored by Sirkuni on your device.

Yes, both you and your contact need to use Sirkuni if you want to communicate privately.

Absolutely. All Sirkuni calling and messaging is done over the internet. As long as you are connected to the internet without any restrictions, then everything will work just as it did when you were home with your old SIM card.

Your contacts can still reach you at your Sirkuni registered number. Find your Sirkuni number by going to Sirkuni Settings profile_avatar.png and test if your account is active by sending a message to yourself in the Note to Self contact and ensuring you do not see a banner saying your device is no longer registered.

However, in order to reinstall or re-register Sirkuni, you need access to SMS or calls to your SIM card. Contact your mobile provider before you head abroad to make sure you can receive SMS or calls to that number if you plan on reinstalling Sirkuni or wiping your phone while away from home.
